now its raining and its dinner time and

he's not around. Thunder, lightening. wouldnt that be clues to what is going to happen? Wouldnt a cat want to come out of the rain and come to eat? Where is he? I call and wait.

Caring for a wild cat is always being ready to let go- to recognize loss. Those who have lost others, whether animal or friend or family, know the hollow feeeling that churns within. You dont accept loss easier because of familiarity but you already have the the empty hole and know where to tuck the agony.

Surely, he'll be back.
